VEVOR Manual Tire Changer: Model, Rim Range, Related Tools and Open Points

The VEVOR manual tire changer, model LTCZ-B, is a floor-post stand with a bead-breaker arm for 8 to 16 inch tires. According to the manufacturer it weighs 30.9 lb, measures 18.1 x 15 x 37 in. and has an X-shaped base with three predrilled holes. It is the Amazon counterpart to the Harbor Freight machine and sits in the same budget price class. The maker's own pages contradict each other on a few points, and some documentation is missing.

Bottom line

VEVOR sells one manual tire changer of the common floor-post layout: model LTCZ-B for 8 to 16 inch tires, 30.9 lb, with a three-hole base that has to be fixed down. Around it the brand offers a duck-head kit, two clamp-type bead breakers and a slide hammer. It is our pick among the Amazon changers because the maker publishes its data. Weak points: size and vehicle statements that contradict each other on the maker's own pages, no warranty terms on the product page, and possible marks on alloy rims.

Who is behind the brand

VEVOR is a tool and equipment brand that sells online. According to its own company page it was founded in 2007, supplies its goods through warehouses in several regions and offers its products through its website and through marketplaces including Amazon. The page describes the range as affordable entry-level products for do-it-yourself work. That is the frame for everything below: a low-cost import brand that, unlike most sellers of this machine, puts model numbers and specifications on a product page of its own.

Our access to that page has a limit: from our location the site redirected to its German-language version. Model number and data are the same product; details of the U.S. page may differ.

It is a manual tire changer in the plain sense: a steel post on a base, a bead-breaker arm near the floor and one bar that serves as handle and lever. VEVOR names Q235B steel with a powder coating and describes the parts that touch tire and wheel as thickened and rounded. The page recommends a suitable lubricant during use.

VEVOR

VEVOR Manual Changer 8–16 in.

The Amazon counterpart to the store-bought reference machine: post, bead breaker and lever bar for 8 to 16 inch wheels.

Why here: The one floor-post changer on Amazon whose maker states range, weight, size and base on its own product page. Stated for 8 to 16 inch tires; the base has to be fixed down.

Best for: Steel and basic alloy wheels up to 16 in. on cars, trailers and older light trucks, in a garage where the base can be bolted down.

What it does well

  • Stated range of 8 to 16 in., the range the reference manual of this design covers
  • Bead breaker and mounting post in one stand; no power or air line needed
  • Base with three mounting holes for bolting down (manufacturer)
  • Same price class as the Harbor Freight machine, delivered to the door

Where it falls short

  • Has to be bolted to the floor or to a base that takes the lever force
  • Stops at 16 in.; not for 17 in. and larger or low-profile wheels
  • Steel bar on the rim edge: marks on alloy wheels are possible
  • The maker's page states no warranty terms, and we have not read the user manual

How it compares with the look-alike stands of other brands is the subject of our comparison of manual tire changers; this page stays with the brand.

Data from manufacturers and listings; seller claims are marked.
  • Duck-head kit with cone. A reinforced nylon mount/demount head on an arm plus a centering cone, made for VEVOR manual tire changers according to the maker. It is the one kit of its kind with manufacturer data; details are on the page about duck-head kits.
  • Clamp-type bead breakers. Stand-alone tools for ATV, tractor and trailer wheels, with and without a rubber pad on the front foot: a wrench sets the front foot on the rim, and a drive screw pushes a second foot against the bead. See tire bead breakers.
  • Slide hammer. A 46.3 in. striking tool for pickup and small tractor beads. We do not recommend it for alloy car wheels.

VEVOR also sells air tanks for bead seating and bars for semi truck tires. Those are covered under tire bead seaters and tire changer bars.

Strengths and weaknesses

Speaks for it

  • Published model number and specifications, which the look-alike stands lack
  • Complete stand with bead breaker; no power or air line
  • Budget price class, delivered to the door
  • Duck-head kit and cone from the same maker

Speaks against it

  • Stated for 8 to 16 in. tires only
  • Has to be fixed to the floor or a base that takes the lever force
  • Steel bar on the rim edge: marks on alloy wheels are possible
  • We have not read its user manual; the product page states no warranty terms we could find

Open points in VEVOR's own pages

We print no star ratings and do not evaluate buyer comments. The weak points below rest on two things only: statements on VEVOR's own pages that contradict each other, and documentation that is missing. All of them were read on October 11, 2026 in the German-language version the site redirects to.

  • Sizes that do not add up. The changer is stated for 8 to 16 in. tires, while the duck-head kit for it is listed for 16 to 21 in. wheels. The clamp-type bead breakers carry “38 to 42 in.” as tire size without an explanation of what is measured.
  • Vehicles that do not add up. The description names cars, trucks and trailers, while a feature note says the changer is not suitable for commercial vehicles. The page address names motorcycles, while a Q&A entry on the same page, answered by VEVOR, excludes moped and motorcycle tires.
  • Figures that do not add up. The page of the padded bead breaker gives its weight as 5.2 kg (11.5 lb) in the specifications and as 5.5 kg in the text.
  • Missing documentation. The product page of the changer states no warranty terms we could find, and it does not spell out a duty to bolt the stand down. We have not read the user manual. For rules on floor mounting, rim finish and size limits we therefore fall back on the manual of the reference machine, as described below.

None of this says how the stand performs; it says how far the paperwork carries. How the work itself goes is explained in how to use a manual tire changer.

Limits that apply to this layout

VEVOR's page gives a range but few rules. The best-documented rules for a stand of this design are in the manual of the Harbor Freight machine, which we read as the copy of the owner's manual on ManualsLib: not for standard tires exceeding 16 in., a caution against high-end rims with a warning of scratches and slight marring, and no use without mounting to the floor. That manual belongs to another product. The same manual says to use only the accessories included and not to modify the machine. We use it as the reference for the layout; for the VEVOR, its own manual comes first. Fixing options are on the page about mounting a manual tire changer.

One rule is independent of the brand. To seat the beads, never go beyond 40 psi; if they are not seated at 40 psi, deflate completely, reposition the tire on the rim, relubricate and reinflate. The procedure is under how to seat a tire bead.

For whom, and the alternatives

The VEVOR suits owners of steel and basic alloy wheels up to 16 in. who can fix a stand down and want it delivered. It is not the tool for 17 in. and larger wheels, low-profile tires or rims that must stay unmarked.

If there is a Harbor Freight store nearby, the Pittsburgh changer is the same layout with a manual we could draw on; see the Harbor Freight tire changer page. Both are budget machines, and neither balances the wheel.

Straight answers

Is the VEVOR manual tire changer any good?

No independent comparative test of it exists, and we have not run one. By its documents it is a plain steel stand for 8 to 16 inch tires that needs no power or air, in the budget price class. Within its stated range, bolted down and used with bead lubricant, it is the best-documented changer of its kind on Amazon.

What size tires does the VEVOR tire changer take?

The manufacturer states 8 to 16 inch tires for model LTCZ-B. Its duck-head kit is listed for 16 to 21 inch wheels; that is a statement about the kit and does not extend the range of the stand. For low-profile tires the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association asks for equipment designed for low aspect ratio, high performance tires and wheels.

Can the VEVOR tire changer do motorcycle tires?

The address of VEVOR's product page names motorcycles. According to a Q&A entry on the German-language shop page the site redirects to, which we read on October 11, 2026, the changer cannot be used for moped or motorcycle tires; the answer is signed by VEVOR. We go by the more cautious statement. Tools made for motorcycle wheels are on our motorcycle tire changer page.

Does the VEVOR tire changer have to be bolted down?

VEVOR describes three predrilled holes in the base that give stability for floor work; the page we read does not spell out a duty to bolt it down. A changer of this layout is levered against its post, and the manual of the reference machine of the same design says not to use it without mounting it to the floor. Plan a fixed base.

Is VEVOR the same as the Harbor Freight tire changer?

No. The Harbor Freight changer is the Pittsburgh item 58731, a house-brand product sold by Harbor Freight. VEVOR is a separate company that sells through its own website and marketplaces such as Amazon. The two machines share the layout and the 8 to 16 inch range. Whether parts interchange is not documented.
