2. Overview
We process personal data only to the extent that it is technically necessary for a working website or when you contact us yourself. The legal bases are in particular Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (contract and pre-contractual inquiries), Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR (legal obligations) and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interests). We do not sell personal information.
For visits to this website, the recipients of personal data are our hosting provider Vercel (sections 3 and 4), our email service provider if you write to us (section 8) and, only after you click an affiliate link, Amazon (section 6). You are not required by law or by contract to provide personal data. The technical data in section 3 is sent by your browser and is needed to display the website; without it the pages cannot be delivered. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you open a page, Vercel automatically processes technical data sent by your browser:
- IP address
- date and time of the request
- the page requested (URL) and the page visited before (referrer)
- browser type, operating system and device type (user agent)
This data is needed to deliver the website, to keep it stable and secure and to fend off attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and functional website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The data is not combined with other data sources and is stored only as long as necessary for these purposes. On our plan (Pro), Vercel makes the logs of individual page requests available to us for one day; after that we can no longer view them. Vercel itself states that it keeps data only for the minimum necessary period and then deletes or anonymizes it.
Vercel may process data in the United States. Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; for these transfers there is therefore an adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR). We have a data processing agreement with Vercel (Art. 28 GDPR), which also incorporates the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. More information: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
4. Cookies, analytics and tracking
This website sets no cookies and uses no advertising trackers or social media plugins. That is why there is no cookie banner.
Audience measurement with Vercel Web Analytics: To understand which pages are read, we use Vercel Web Analytics (provider: Vercel Inc., see section 3). The service works without cookies and without storing anything on your device. It records the page viewed, the referring page, the time, approximate location (country, region, city), browser, operating system and device type. Visitors are recognized by a hash generated from the request, which is discarded after 24 hours; according to Vercel, the data points are not tied to an individual or an IP address, and no profile across different websites is built. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving this website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). More information: vercel.com/docs/analytics/privacy-policy.
Do Not Track: This website does not respond to “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals from browsers or to similar mechanisms. It treats every visit the same way, because it sets no cookies and does not track visitors across other websites.
Third-party tracking: We do not allow other parties to collect personally identifiable information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use this website. The pages load no third-party scripts, pixels, fonts or embedded media. The only outside service involved in delivering the pages is Vercel, as described in section 3 and above.
5. Fonts and images
Fonts, graphics and images are delivered together with the website through our hosting at Vercel (section 3). Opening a page does not create a connection to Google Fonts or other third parties.
6. Affiliate links to Amazon
This website participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. You can recognize affiliate links by the asterisk (*) and the labels “paid link” or “Ad”.
As long as you do not click, no data is transferred to Amazon. When you click an Amazon link, you are taken to Amazon. The link contains our associate ID so that Amazon can attribute a purchase to our website. On its own pages, Amazon.com Services LLC (410 Terry Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98109, USA) sets its own cookies and processes data under its own responsibility. We receive no personal data about you from Amazon, only aggregated reports on clicks and sales. The legal basis for placing the link is our legitimate interest in funding this website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Details: Amazon Privacy Notice.
7. External links
We link to sources such as manufacturers, public authorities and specialist publications. These are plain links: data is only transferred once you click them. The respective provider is responsible for data processing on the linked pages.
8. Contact by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details (for example name, email address and the content of your inquiry) in order to answer you. The recipient in this case is our email service provider, which operates the mailboxes on our behalf. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where a contract is concerned, otherwise our legitimate interest in responding (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). We delete the data once your inquiry has been dealt with. We keep a message longer only if it falls under the statutory retention periods of German commercial and tax law; in that case we delete it when that period ends.
9. Encryption
The connection to this website is encrypted with TLS/SSL. You can tell by the “https://” and the lock symbol in the address bar.
10. Your right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
11. Your other rights
Under the GDPR you also have the right at any time to:
- access the data stored about you (Art. 15)
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
- erasure (Art. 17) and restriction of processing (Art. 18)
- data portability (Art. 20)
To exercise these rights, simply write to info@seolutions.biz. We answer such requests from visitors in any country. None of the processing described in this policy is based on consent, so there is no consent that you would need to withdraw.
You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the authority responsible for us: the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen (datenschutz.bremen.de).
12. Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
13. Changes to this policy
We update this privacy policy when the website or the legal situation changes. We announce a change by publishing the revised policy on this page and changing the effective date at the top of the page. This website has no user accounts and no newsletter, so we cannot notify visitors individually. The version published here applies.
